Independent research desk
Coal Seam Research is an independent educational portal covering how markets, risk and trading infrastructure actually work. ProMarketsCFD is one of the trading platforms we research and discuss, using published information and a fixed set of evaluation criteria — never promotional claims.
No accounts, no deposits, no trading services. Educational content only — and no official affiliation with ProMarketsCFD.
Why this site exists
Most people meet trading through advertising rather than through education. The result is a vocabulary of promises and very little understanding of mechanics. We publish the opposite: plain explanations of how currency, crypto and derivative markets are structured, what leverage really does to a position, and how the software layer between a trader and the market actually behaves.
Our ProMarketsCFD research applies that same discipline. Our ProMarketsCFD review and trading platform research sets out six evaluation criteria, states clearly what public information can and cannot confirm, and leaves the verification in the reader's hands. We publish no ratings, no awards and no endorsements.
Price is a record of transactions. Learning to describe structure precedes any attempt to anticipate it.
Drawdown mathematics, not entry signals, decide whether a plan survives an unfavourable stretch.
Order routing, spreads, financing and margin rules shape outcomes far more than interface design suggests.
Every claim we publish is traceable to public information or clearly labelled as educational context.
Featured research
What does a serious ProMarketsCFD broker review look like when nobody is being paid to write it? We examine market coverage, pricing structure, order types, risk controls, usability and documentation quality — and explain how to verify each point yourself against primary sources.
Platform context
New traders often overlook platform structure, fees, risk controls and usability. Those four factors shape results long before any strategy does.
Start with How Trading Platforms Work to understand what sits behind an order button, then read Risk Management in Trading before comparing anything.

This calculator is for educational purposes only. It does not predict real trading outcomes and should not be considered financial advice. Real results are also affected by spreads, commissions, overnight financing, slippage and gaps — and leverage magnifies losses exactly as it magnifies gains.
Editorial credibility
Our contributors research market structure, trading mechanics and platform documentation, then translate it into plain-language material. We do not sell trading services, do not accept client funds and do not provide personalised financial advice.
